David Zappacosta is a California native, born in San Jose, and a
1973 graduate of San Jose State University with a degree in Art History
and Art Painting. He did graduate work abroad studying the ancient
ruins and sculptures in Greece, visiting both Athens and Thessaloniki.
Continuing his studies, David then turned to Italy to further his
study in art painting in Florence, Italy. At the Gabinetto Design & Stampe
Degli Uffizi, he was allowed to access and study from original works
of Raphael, Michelangelo, and other Renaissance painters.
After returning to the United States, David met architect Allan
DeGrange of Los Gatos, California. They proceeded to work together
on numerous collaborations.
