“Part of my job as Property Manager for the Richard Stephens family
in Pebble Beach is to obtain high quality home remodeling and repair
bids and proposals from many vendors in the area. Because the owners
of the exceptional home are very exacting, I interviewed many people.
I hired Mr. Zappacosta to custom build a cabinet in the bar area
of the family room of the house. The cabinet had to be built in a
confined area with exacting measurements and conform to the decor
of this beautiful home. Mr. Zappacosta came with obvious experience,
confidence, recommendations, valuable suggestions, and completed
the job in a short time at a very reasonable cost. The finished product
was a high quality, custom built, detailed piece that fits perfectly
in the room. I appreciated that he was always sensitive to my busy
schedule and made the experience so easy for me. I will hire him
again and highly recommend him.”

“Mr. David Zappacosta rebuild our house from the ground up in 1985,
transforming it form a 1600 sq. ft. single story house into a 3600
sq. ft. Victorian showpiece. He completed the project in record time
and the results were indeed excellent. As a testament to the quality
of the construction, our home survived the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake
with no damage except a few dry wall cracks. Should we build another
home someday, Mr. Zappacosta will build it!”
Theadore & Marjorie Scooros - Los Gatos, CA.
“Zappacosta Construction has done a truly superb job in the construction
of the house. This fact has not only been observed by us, but has
been reiterated by outside experts. Zappacosta Construction, and
its experienced subcontractors have handled all aspects of the house
construction, from the initial grading and pier drilling, to the
concrete work on the massive foundation, to the framing, decking,
siding, outside rim details, electrical, plumbing, heating and ventilation.
All through eh process of construction the home, David Zappacosta
has kept us informed on the progress, and the status of the inspections,
which have all gone smoothly so far. After the completion of the
framing, our house plans specified that additional framing inspection
be done my the structural engineering form. The inspector wrote in
his report that the framing was excellent. This was not surprising
to us, as the craftsmanship, experience and professionalism of all
three of the journeymen carpenters was very obvious throughout the
project. Of special note is the absolutely beautiful exterior cedar
siding which was installed with the utmost precision, with the perfect
alignment and termination of the 1x6 vertical tongue-and-groove boards
as they encountered the complex large round windows which highlight
the house. We feel truly fortunate to be able to have Zappacosta
Construction construct our new home.“
Joel M Libove, PhD. - Orinda, CA.
“We just finished remodeling our veterinary hospital using Zappacosta
Construction as our general contractor. I was very pleased with the
quality of the work done. The work was completed within the estimated
time frame and did not go over the estimate Mr. Zappacosta had given
me. The best part was that we were able to stay open for business
during the entire project due to his coordinating the construction
around us and doing work on weekends and after business hours. I
would highly recommend Zappacosta Construction and would use him
in the future.”
Miles E Rodgers II, DVM - Campbell Animal Hospital, Campbell, CA.
“My husband and I had a major remodel in Carmel that was managed
and completed by Zappacosta Construction under the direct supervision
of David. David was involved with the project form start to finish
and we were extremely pleased with the results. The completed house
is beautiful inside and out and we get numerous compliments regarding
the home construction and design. This was a direct result of the
personal care and commitment that went in the project management
by David. Our project design was not an easy process for the contractor
as we made many changes as we got further along in the process. At
all times, David provided easy to understand advice, asked about
what we wanted and made sure to keep us posted on decisions, design
and costs. We would highly recommend David Zappacosta and Zappacosta
Construction for home remodeling or construction in our area.”
Denise O’Toole - Carmel, CA.
“Our 4500 sq. ft. home is on 1.4 acres with a slope of nearly 30
degrees. It survived the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake with no damage
other than cosmetic. We are within about 5 miles of the epicenter.
Obviously the construction is of excellent quality. We are also very
proud that hour home was featured in the front cover of Homes and
Land of Santa Cruz Co., Vol. 8, No. 2, with a special aerial photo
and write-up on page 21 of that issue.”
